Established in 1964, Riverside HealthCare serves the south suburban counties of Chicago as a not-for-profit medical facility. Riverside currently has two medical campuses in Kankakee and Bourbonnais.
Riverside is nationally recognized for its specialty programs in heart care, obstetrics, trauma, oncology, rehabilitation, geriatrics, occupational health, treatment of alcohol and chemical dependency and psychiatric services. For its heart and oncology programs, Riverside partners with RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago.
Located on the Kankakee Campus is Riverside Medical Center, a 336-bed hospital that provides a full scope of inpatient and outpatient care. The Emergency Department is designated as a Level II Trauma Center and a Resource Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health.Kankakee is also home to Riverside's senior living communityfeaturing active independent living, assisted living, 24-hour skilled nursing care and Alzheimer's care.
Riverside HealthCare Bourbonnais Campus features the Betty Burch Bridgewater Center for Radiation Therapy, an imaging center, Women's Diagnostic Center, outpatient surgery center, medically-based wellness center and physician offices.
Riverside West Campus in Coal City provides medical specialists, primary care physicians, and a broad range of diagnostic services . This 12,500-square-foot facility is located at 5775 E. Highway 113, just west of Carbon Hill Road on the south side of Illinois Route 113.
Riverside Community Health Centers offer complete family care in 9 communities throughout the southern suburbs of Chicago.
