Leadership at Riverside Medical Center

Phillip Kambic began serving as Riverside Health Care's President and CEO in January 2006. Mr. Kambic has held various leadership roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Riverside since 1985. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Governors State University. Mr. Kambic serves on numerous professional boards including the Illinois Hospital Association, Rush System for Health, Illinois Provider Trust, Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council, and various Illinois Hospital Association committees. He serves on numerous community boards including Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School, Kankakee County Economic Development Association, and Kankakee River Valley Airport Authority. Mr. Kambic was named Bradley Bourbonnais Chamber of Commerce 2006 Business Person of the Year, Kankakee Daily Journal 2006 Citizen of the Year, and is past president of the Kankakee Area YMCA. Mr. Kambic is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Bill W. Douglas is the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Riverside Health Care and has served in this position since 2006. Throughout his career with Riverside, he has served in financial, operations and planning positions including Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Planning and Operations and Treasurer. Mr. Douglas received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University and a Master of Business Administration from Olivet Nazarene University. He holds a CPA certificate (Illinois), is also a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Illinois CPA Society, Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

David A. Duda is Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer. Mr. Duda began his career with Riverside Medical Center in 1986 and served in various capacities including his prior role as Vice President of Patient Care Services. Mr. Duda manages the organization's day-to-day operations and focuses on patient safety and clinical quality. He is the Past President of the Board of Victims Assistance, a member of the Hispanic Coalition Task Force of Kankakee County and a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board. He recently received the Community Nurse Leadership Excellence Award from the Kappa Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Mr. Duda received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh and a Master of Science degree from Rush University Medical Center.

Margaret H. Frogge is Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy since 2006. She began her career with Riverside Medical Center in 1980 and has held various executive roles including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Clinical Services. Ms. Frogge received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Rush University and completed post graduate studies at Wharton School of Business. She is an assistant professor at Rush University. Ms. Frogge has presented at several national and international healthcare conferences and has authored numerous healthcare articles and books. Ms. Frogge is the immediate Past President of the Oncology Nursing Society Foundation and serves on the boards of Hospice of Kankakee Valley and Kankakee Community College Foundation. Ms. Frogge was a recipient of the Athena Business Women's Leadership Award.

John V. Jurica, MD, MPH, is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Jurica was appointed to the position in September 2011, after serving as Vice President for Medical Affairs since 1999. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Illinois in Rockford in 1986, and a Master of Public Health degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1993. Dr. Jurica is responsible for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Physician Services, Pharmacy Services and Home Health Care departments and the Riverside Medical Group. He is a member of Hospice of Kankakee Valley Board of Directors, and currently serves as the President of the Kankakee County Board of Health. Dr. Jurica is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Rebecca K. Hinrichs is Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to being named Vice President in 2007, Ms. Hinrichs served as Employment Manager, Director of Human Resources, Corporate Director of Human Resources and Senior HR officer at Riverside during her more than 20 years with the organization. Before joining Riverside, she worked in Human Resources at Diamond Star Motors in Normal, Illinois. Ms. Hinrichs received a Bachelor of Arts degree in both International Business and German and a Masters in Business Administration from Illinois State University. Her academic credentials are supplemented by certifications in human resources including Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from World at Work.

Allen Kelly is Vice President of Clinical Operations. Mr. Kelly joined Riverside Medical Center in 2004 as the Director of Peri-operative Services and was appointed Vice President of Peri- Operative and Procedural Services in 2007. He has previous management experience in medical/surgical, pre and post anesthesia, pain management, ambulatory surgery as well as inpatient surgery. Mr. Kelly received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Health Service Administration from the University of Saint Francis. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Kankakee County and Riverside Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Patricia (Patt) Vilt has been Vice President of Finance since 2010. Ms. Vilt began her career at Riverside in 1995 and has worked with financial reimbursement, budget, internal audit and revenue cycle for both the hospital and the physician network. She serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Riverside Health Care. Ms. Vilt holds a CPA certificate (Illinois) and is a member of the AICPA and the Health Care Compliance Association. She is the immediate Past President of First Illinois Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management and serves on the Finance Committee for Hospice of Kankakee Valley and Board of Directors for Riverside Ambulatory Surgery Center. Ms. Vilt received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University and her Master of Business Administration in Finance from Lewis University.

Michael D. Mutterer is Vice President of Senior Services. Mr. Mutterer joined Riverside in 2011 with experience in management of long-term care, hospital, community mental health, and hospice care facilities. Mr. Mutterer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Edgewood College in Wisconsin and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Mr. Mutterer is a Registered Nurse, Nursing Home Administrator, Clinical Professional Counselor and Alcohol, Substance and Drug Abuse Counselor. Mr. Mutterer serves on the board of the Chicago End-of-Life Care Coalition and is a member of the American Psychological Association and Illinois Nursing Home Administrator Association. Mr. Mutterer is responsible for Senior Services including Sojourn's Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care and Miller Rehabilitation.

Tanya P. Stringer is Vice President of Riverside Medical Group. Ms. Stringer joined Riverside in 2011 with experience in healthcare operations and physician practice management. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Services in Des Moines, Iowa. Prior to joining Riverside, Ms. Stringer served as Director for the physician group at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, Chicago. Ms. Stringer is responsible for the operations of physician practices, Corporate Health and New Life Program. Ms. Stringer is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). She is on the board of Jack and Jill of America (South Suburban Chicago).
