Mehmet Sipahi, M.D. Oncology Nursing Scholarship

Scholarships totaling $1,500 are available annually. This fund was established by Dr. Mehmet Sipahi to assist area students pursuing careers in oncology nursing. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and room and board expenses for area students working toward a degree; fees, books, coursework and travel expenses for Riverside employees pursuing oncology nursing certification; or registration and travel expenses for a Riverside employee pursing continuing oncology nursing education.

Selection Criteria

The selection of the scholarship recipients is based on several criteria, including academic performance, leadership ability, references, essay, personal interview (if requested) and financial need.

Recipient Agreement and Understanding

Recipient understands that the Riverside HealthCare Foundation Scholars program is funded by donors who determine the scholarships’ eligibility requirements. If awarded a scholarship, recipient will write a personal thank you letter to the donor and the Foundation Board of Directors, and may be asked to participate in scholarship functions or award ceremonies. By accepting a scholarship, the recipient understands that the award may affect other financial aid awards received and that the award is not automatically renewed.
