Riverside is proud to announce the implementation of a new wire-free surgical breast guidance system - a leading-edge advancement for patients and physicians.

“This is another step forward in providing the best health care technology to our community,” said Mary Kohl, Riverside Vice President of Clinical Services, “Patient experience and comfort are a top priority for Riverside, and this advancement improves quality and outcomes for our patients.”

SaviScout is a breakthrough system that revolutionizes the process of locating and excising breast lesions that are not visible in a typical exam.

This technology replaces traditional wire-guided methods, reducing patient discomfort and streamlining the surgical process while allowing for a cosmetically pleasing incision placement.

“The wire-free system enhances our ability to perform precise breast surgeries for our patients, which improves outcomes and increases patient satisfaction," said Gretchen Williams, DO, general surgeon at Riverside. “We are proud to be the only hospital in the region to offer this to our patients.”
