Frequently asked questions about applying to the residency and fellowship programs
What is the deadline for application?
For the Internal Medicine residency program, all applications are received through ERAS and therefore the deadlines set by the national matching service apply. Applications for the Cardiology and Gastroenterology fellowship program may be submitted as early as July of the year prior to the program year. There is no set date as to when a contract will be offered to candidates.
How many internal candidates versus external candidates do you accept?
We have no policy regarding internal vs. external candidates.
Do you accept transfer candidates from other residency or fellowship programs?
At this time, we are not considering transfer candidates.
Will you let me know when you receive my application?
Unfortunately, given the volume of applicants, individual communications are difficult. If you have submitted your completed application, we will review the application and contact you only if you have been selected for an interview.
I was selected for an interview but cannot make the interview date. May I reschedule the interview?
Interviews are offered based on program scheduling. If you are unable to make your interview date, you may contact the GME Coordinator to determine if an alternate is available.
