About Me
A Message from Dr. James Choi:
My decision to pursue medicine started with my own family. Growing up, my parents worked long hours and rarely had time for checkups. I wanted to become a physician so I could help them—and others like them—access the care they deserve. I was drawn to pulmonology because I enjoy the hands-on procedural work, such as bronchoscopies, as well as the fascinating physiology of the lungs. I earned both my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at Michigan State University. My philosophy of care is simple: “everybody is equal, and they all deserve the same amount of care and kindness.” Nothing is more rewarding than helping a patient find the answers they’ve been searching for and guiding them toward better health.
