About Me

Board-certified family nurse practitioner, Krista Barton is now seeing patients at Riverside's Immediate Care locations.

Krista began her nursing education at Kankakee Community College in Kankakee, IL, where she completed her Associate of Science in Nursing. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Purdue-Calumet University in Hammond, IN. Most recently, Krista completed her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain University in Tinley Park, IL.

Krista is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

In addition to her education, she is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Krista will be seeing patients for minor injuries and illnesses at Riverside's Immediate Care locations. Immediate Care is open seven days a week with extended hours.

Very concerned about my illness.

as I said, she should've checked my throat, ears and nose due to my illness, which is a cold. She did check my heart for pneumonia.

No testing was discussed - found an explanation for problem - sinus infection and ear infection and sent me on my way. All my symptoms pointed to influenza a which was never mentioned; had I been tested I wouldn't have given it to my twin 2 yr old grandsons (I would have stayed away from them if I had thought I was contagious).
