Independent Medical Examinations (IME)
for Insurance and Worker's Compensation
With many insurance and worker's compensation claims an Independent Medical Examination is required. Riverside Corporate Health Services offers an independent un-bias diagnosis of work-related injuries. This examination is known as an Independent Medical Examination, or simply IME. An IME is the examination of a patient by a physician who has not previously been involved in the patient’s care. IMEs may be performed to establish the cause, extent, and the proper medical treatment associated with a work-related injury. IME’s may also be performed to establish whether a patient has reached the maximum benefit from treatment and whether any permanent impairments may remain after the treatment.
