Riverside Inpatient Rehabilitation
Riverside's Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has been taking care of the community since 1988. The 19-bed unit provides an intimate atmosphere for you to experience a high quality, comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to return you to the highest level of independence possible.

Inpatient rehabilitation is a specific unit in the hospital dedicated to providing therapies after hospitalization for an illness or injury.
Patients on this unit receive team oriented care focused on assisting the patient return to normal living activity. The rehab team is comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, physiatry (Rehabilitation physicians), nursing, social work, and speech therapy and behavioral therapy as needed.
Therapy will range from activities including walking and moving around in bed to cooking activities. Focus is to return a patient to their home environment if possible and to spend time training and educating the patient and family.
Staff on the rehab unit specialize in rehabilitation of a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to: Stroke (CVA), Spinal and Joint Surgeries, Head Injuries, Amputees, Neurological disorders (Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Movement disorders to name a few), and Cardiac cases.
Patients on the rehabilitation unit can expect to receive 3 hours of intense therapy for 5 out of 7 days with 24 hour nursing care and physician involvement.
