Pediatric Sleep Study
The Sleep Disorder Institute of Riverside Medical Center is the only center in the region facilitating pediatric sleep studies. We offer a dedicated pediatric sleep study suite with two queen size beds to accommodate both the child and a parent. The pediatric sleep study suite also features a Playstation 3 gaming console.
In children, sleep disorders may lead to. Some sleep disorders are serious enough to result in cardiovascular, metabolic and developmental effects.
Approximately 25 to 30 percent of infants and children experience sleep disturbances as a result of temporary or chronic medical problems. Disturbances range from insufficient sleep, bedtime settling problems and sleepwalking to sleep apnea and narcolepsy. Fortunately, sleep disorders are very treatable.

Treatment Options for Pediatric Sleep Disorders
Treatments of sleep disorders vary by individual child and diagnosis. Treatments may include behavioral/sleep schedule techniques and adjustments, nutrition counseling, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) in case of obstructive sleep apnea, or medications.
