150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare
Becker‘s Healthcare released the 2016 edition of 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare featuring U.S. healthcare provider organizations, such as hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgical centers and home health agencies, as well as other types of healthcare-specific companies, like consulting firms, health IT vendors, medical societies and more. The organizations included on this year's list were considered, as were organizations that received national, state or local recognition previously earned for workplace excellence, as well as benefits offerings, wellness initiatives, and efforts to improve professional development, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance and a sense of community among employees. Riverside earned its position among this elite group for these very reasons as well as many others. With almost 3,000 employees including physicians, medical staff, and volunteers from more than 120 communities, Riverside enjoys an average employee tenure of over nine years. Such loyalty may be attributed to job satisfaction and teamwork as well as a result of the designations earned such as the hospitals Magnet accreditation for Nursing Excellence, as well as the healthcare system's distinction as the Nation's Healthiest Employer. In addition, Riverside provides employees with home ownership assistance, discounted access to the Riverside Health Fitness Center, educational assistance and professional development training, as well as many other unique and special benefits.
