In keeping with our philosophy that proper health care treatment is achieved by meeting the needs of the total person, Riverside Medical Center has established a pastoral care program. This program was designed to enhance and strengthen the spiritual needs of our patients adding to the effectiveness of their care.

The director of pastoral care is Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains. The pastoral care staff includes contracted ordained clergy as Associate Chaplains, a volunteer Catholic Chaplain, and volunteer protestant lay chaplains.

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for Level I and Level II is being offered at Riverside Medical Center in a CPE Residency and in an extended unit of CPE. Riverside Medical Center is accredited with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education as a CPE Center.

Pastoral services available include an ecumenical worship service in the All Faiths Chapel on Sundays at 3 PM, Spiritual counseling, Prayer, Reading of Scripture, Music, Baptism, Anointing, Blessings, Communion, Confession, Sabbath or Memorial Candles, Grief support. Riverside also provides a Memorial Service to honor loved ones. These services are held in March, July and November.

The All Faiths Chapel is open 24-hours a day for meditation and prayer. It is located on the main floor of Riverside Medical Center next to the Central Waiting Area across from the coffee shop.
