About this event
Giving birth is an amazing, life-changing event. This class is designed to help parents feel comfortable and confident with the birth process by learning what to expect during the labor, delivery and postpartum periods.Topics include what to expect in the 3rd trimester, true and false labor signs, the stages of labor, when to head to the hospital, relaxation and comfort techniques, labor support, common medical interventions (including induction of labor, epidurals and cesarean birth), as well as postpartum care for mom and baby.
This class is best taken during the early third trimester and includes a tour of Riverside’s Family Birthing Center. *If you are bringing a birth partner, please list name in Guest/Birth Partner box below.
This class is free to all mothers-to-be.
