In the Prenatal Breastfeeding Class, our certified lactation consultant will introduce you to great information about breastfeeding, how to get started, and other practical tips.What you'll learn
Our certified lactation consultants will guide you through essential breastfeeding information, including:
- How to get started with breastfeeding
- Advantages and benefits of breastfeeding for you and your baby
- Common breastfeeding myths and facts
- Addressing common breastfeeding concerns
- Nutrition guidance for nursing mothers
- Breast pump information and usage tips
- Practical breastfeeding techniques
Cost: Free
When to attend: Best taken in the early 3rd trimester (Fathers and support people are encouraged to attend to learn how they can best support the breastfeeding mother and baby).
What to bring to class: A notebook or phone for taking notes, any specific questions you'd like to ask, and wear comfortable clothing for participating in hands-on activities.
