Riverside Healthcare President and CEO Phillip Kambic has announced the promotion of Richard Schiltz, CPA, MBA, to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Since joining Riverside as Internal Auditor in 2007, Schiltz’s responsibilities have continually grown, including his leadership as Director of Finance for the last 15 years.

“Rich’s leadership has substantively contributed to Riverside’s sound fiscal position, and I have great confidence in his strategic leadership in this new role,” said Kambic.

Schiltz brings extensive expertise across all areas of healthcare finance, including reimbursement, budgeting, and revenue cycle management. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois and maintains active membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Additionally, Schiltz is a U.S. Navy veteran.

Alongside his professional accomplishments, Schiltz is an engaged community leader, contributing his time to various local organizations including as Treasurer of the Kankakee Valley Symphony’s Youth Orchestra. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Olivet Nazarene University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Xavier University.

Schiltz’s promotion follows the retirement of Patricia Vilt, CPA, MBA, MJ, after over 30 years at Riverside.
