About Me
Dr. Lacher is a cancer and blood disease doctor in Bourbonnais who cares for adults with oncology and hematology needs. Her care focuses on treatment planning, family support and guidance through cancer diagnosis and blood disorders. Her clinical focuses include community oncology, benign hematology, and malignant hematology.
My path to hematology began after college, when I worked at a camp for children with disabilities during a week for kids with sickle cell anemia. That experience sparked my interest in genetics, blood disorders and later oncology. What I value most is simple: “the relationships I get to make.” I want to come alongside patients and families through the difficult parts of cancer care, celebrating victories and offering support during losses. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency in Lansing, Michigan, followed by fellowship at Michigan State University. I also completed graduate training at A.T. Still University-School of Health Management. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in oncology. My clinical focus includes oncology and hematology, including cancer treatment and blood disease care.
