About Me

Dr. Virk is a family medicine doctor in Manteno who cares for children and adults, with focus on prevention, women’s health and addiction medicine.

I found family medicine during a fourth-year medical school rotation, where I saw how full-scope care supports not only patients but also their families. I liked that I could practice many parts of medicine and build long-term relationships. My philosophy is centered on meaningful connections and a supportive environment. "It is a team effort." I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Caribbean Medical University in Curacao and completed family medicine residency training through East Liverpool City Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Ohio. I am board certified in family medicine. My clinical interests include preventive medicine, addiction medicine, women’s health and family medicine for children and adults. I want patients to feel cared for and heard when they come in. I also believe trust grows when patients know their concerns will be taken seriously every time. My goal is to create space where patients feel safe sharing what they need.

My first visit to Dr. Kirk, I felt terrible, my numbers were way off on my tests. Just a couple months later, I feel like me again. She is a great Dr., she really CARES about her patients and answers my questions and explains everything. When I tell her Thank you......I mean it.

I think the Dr misunderstood she put down that I had an amputated from the knee down where I have a titanium rod to my whole leg I have to clarify that today. Plus she asked me if I had any questions about my medications and I said no but when I got home and I looked at the report that they give you when you go home I noticed that she had taken off some of my medications and I didn't get to ask her why when I going on these 16th of this month I will question that.
