About Me
Dr. Grewal is a family medicine doctor in Kankakee who cares for children and adults, with focus on prevention and whole-family health.
Family medicine matters to me because it extends beyond the clinic walls. I like being involved in the community, listening to people and understanding what may be happening in their lives. During training, I realized I wanted to know the full story, not have only one interaction. "I like to treat patients like a unit." I earned my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal and completed family medicine residency training at Oakland Physician’s Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan, where I served as chief resident. I am board-certified in family medicine. My clinical focus includes preventive care, family medicine for children and adults, and helping patients choose healthier paths early in life. I also believe listening closely can uncover stressors or barriers that may affect a patient’s health. I want prevention to start early, before problems become harder to change.
