About Me

Dr. Fares is a family medicine doctor in Coal City who cares for children and adults, with focus on diabetes, high blood pressure and behavior change.

I was drawn to family medicine because I wanted to care for patients of all ages and not be limited to one stage of life. What motivates me is seeing real change in someone’s health, whether that means better blood sugar, better blood pressure or cutting back on alcohol or tobacco. "I truly loved seeing patients from all ages." I earned my medical degree from Medical University of the Americas in St. Kitts-Nevis and completed family medicine residency training at Mount Sinai Medicine in Chicago. My DXE record lists family medicine board certification, but the issuer field appears incomplete and should be reviewed. My care includes diabetes, high blood pressure, alcohol and tobacco counseling, and family medicine for children and adults. I value patient effort and partnership because lasting progress usually comes from steady work over time. I try to celebrate those practical wins because they can change a person’s health trajectory.

Dr. Fares received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his medical degree at Medical University of Americas in St. Kitts-Nevis. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medicine Residency Program in Chicago, Illinois.

My doctor was super knowledgeable and taught me a lot about my joint issues along with any dietary questions I had. He was very forward with his answers and was very professional. Probably the best doctor I've had

I am soon to be 65 years of age and Dr Fares is everything I could have wished for in a doctor. He didn't just listen, he actually heard me. He sincerely cares for his patients. At my age you know genuine and he is that. I'm not generally a fan of doctors. I deal with white coat syndrome, I have for as long as I can remember but I really like this doctor. What a rare find.

Dr Fares was thorough, and wanted to make sure I told him everything I needed to. Took his time, I wanst just another person in a room to get through. I can tell he takes pride in his work, and wants to genuinely help his patients. Not just through medication at them and hope it helps

Currently trying to get my partner in to have Dr. Fares as his primary as well. I do recommend him outwardly to anyone in need. He is a smart, compassionate and very kind man. He is really the first and only doctor that I've had that makes me feel fully comfortable from start to finish. I feel heard & very respected whenever I meet with him. He listens with the intent to actually find the needed answers, to help with whatever is necessary. I'm extremely grateful to have found Dr. Fares.
