About Me
Ryan Whitesell, NP, is a family medicine provider in Watseka who cares for children and adults, with focus on community-based primary care.
I went into healthcare because I wanted to help people and make a difference. When my father had open-heart surgery, I saw how nurses cared for him and comforted our family. That experience led me from CNA work to nursing and then to becoming a nurse practitioner. "I wanted to help people." I appreciate caring for people from different communities and getting to know what matters to them. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. I am certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. My practice includes family medicine, primary care for children and adults, patient education and support for everyday health needs. I want patients to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing what is really happening in their lives. Those conversations help me understand the full picture behind each health concern.
