About Me

Tracey Peachey, FNP-BC, is an internal medicine provider in Kankakee who cares for adults, with focus on health promotion and disease prevention.

I believe strongly in advancing nursing practice and in the value of collaboration. Medicine works best when the care team works together and sees the whole person, not just a diagnosis. Nurse practitioners bring a unique lens to care because we look at physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs. "Health promotion and disease prevention is so key." I earned my Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University. My current DXE record does not list a board certification issuer, so that should be reviewed before publishing certification language. My internal medicine practice includes adult care, well checks, prevention, family support and helping patients build trusted relationships that meet their needs. I want patients to feel supported by a team that understands their goals, values and daily challenges. Prevention gives us a chance to find concerns early and address them before they become larger problems.

Per usual, Tracey was thorough, gentle, and so caring. If she is rushed behind the scenes, she doesn't let that show. She sits down and listens and engages in conversation. I never feel like I'm bothering her to bring up an issue unrelated to the reason for the visit. Finding her as a primary care provider has completely changed how I feel about preventative care and seeking care when I'm sick.
