On August 20, Riverside Healthcare welcomed community leaders and special guests to celebrate the opening of the new adult inpatient behavioral health unit. Following remarks from Riverside leaders and Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis, guests toured the new healing environment ahead of its opening for patient care.

A Space Designed for Healing

Every detail of the new adult inpatient behavioral health unit was designed with safety, comfort and healing in mind. From calming colors and natural-inspired lighting to private patient rooms and thoughtfully designed shared spaces, the new unit creates a welcoming, therapeutic environment that supports patients throughout their care.
