Riverside Medical Center has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's 2026 list of 100 Great Community Hospitals, a national recognition that highlights hospitals providing outstanding care and service to their communities.

The annual list recognizes community hospitals across the country that deliver high-quality care, strong patient experiences and a wide range of services close to home.

"We are honored to be recognized by Becker's as one of the nation's Great Community Hospitals," said Phil Kambic, president and CEO of Riverside Healthcare. "This recognition reflects the dedication of our physicians, nurses and staff, who work every day to provide exceptional care for our patients and strengthen the health of our communities."

Riverside Medical Center was recognized for its continued commitment to clinical excellence, innovation and community service. Riverside recently earned its fourth Magnet designation for nursing excellence, a distinction achieved by only a select group of hospitals nationwide. The medical center also holds an "A" Hospital Safety Grade from Leapfrog, earned the American College of Cardiology's HeartCARE Center designation and maintains accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

In addition to advancing healthcare services, Riverside remains deeply committed to the communities it serves. The organization contributes more than $65 million annually in community benefit and recently demonstrated its role as a community partner during regional tornado recovery efforts, providing care, support and assistance to affected residents and employees.

According to Becker's Hospital Review, hospitals selected for the list demonstrate that exceptional healthcare is not limited to large academic medical centers or major metropolitan health systems. Honorees were recognized for delivering expert care, driving innovation and serving as cornerstones of their communities.

"This recognition belongs to every member of our team," Kambic said. "We are proud to serve our communities and remain focused on helping our patients live healthier lives."
