Curated by Becker's Hospital Review, one of the leading sources for business and legal news for hospitals and health systems, the list features some of the nation's most successful nonprofit healthcare organizations.
At a time of immense uncertainty in healthcare, Phil Kambic's leadership has helped strengthen Riverside position as a community hospital with the approach of leading-edge technology and world-class recognition. As part of the recognition for this, Riverside has earned Magnet designation and re-designation for nursing excellence, received multiple Truven Analytics 100 Top Hospital awards, been named one of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals and received numerous patient safety awards.
Phil Kambic joined Riverside in 1985, starting in the technology department. Working his way through various leadership roles, Kambic previously served as Riverside's Chief Operating Officer prior to stepping into his current position as President & CEO in 2006.
Under Kambic's leadership, Riverside has greatly expanded, doubling its net asset size and providing more access to care with an expanding geographic footprint in five counties.
Kambic strives to further Riverside's impact by serving on numerous professional boards including: Illinois Hospital Association, Illinois Provider Trust, and various Illinois Hospital Association committees and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is an active community member, and currently resides in Bourbonnais with his wife Lynda.
