About Me
Dr. Basha is a cancer and blood disease doctor in Watseka who cares for adults with cancer and hematology needs. He focuses on clear guidance, team-based treatment and support during chemotherapy or other cancer therapies.
I first trained as an engineer, but I learned that I wanted to work with people more than machines. Cancer care drew me in because the field keeps changing and continues to offer patients real hope. My care philosophy is honest, steady and team-based: “We can offer the best care.” Sometimes that means chemotherapy or other medicines; other times it means emotional, psychological or medical support to help patients protect their quality of life. I also value working with radiation oncologists, surgeons, therapists, dietitians and social workers so each patient has support from the right team. I earned my medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, then completed my residency and fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology. My clinical focus includes oncology and hematology, including cancer treatment and blood disease care for adults.
