About Me
Kendra Hansen, DNP, ANP-BC, is a cardiac electrophysiology provider in Kankakee who cares for heart rhythm concerns such as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter and ventricular tachycardia. She helps patients understand rhythm disorders, pacemakers and defibrillators.
I became a nurse practitioner because caring for people has always felt like a calling. As a new nurse in the medical ICU, I became fascinated by the heart, especially its electrical system. That interest led me to cardiac electrophysiology, where I care for people with heart rhythm disorders. My approach is holistic, compassionate and centered on shared decisions with patients and families. I treat patients like they're my family. I value explaining choices in a way that patients can understand and use. I earned a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of St. Francis. My clinical focus includes atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, ventricular tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia and syncope. I also help patients understand pacemakers, defibrillators and heart failure care so they can feel informed and supported.
