About Me

Dr. Arshad is a child psychiatrist in Kankakee who supports children and adults across our community.

I was interested in science from a young age, and psychiatry became the place where I could connect that interest with meaningful patient relationships.
I earned my medical degree from King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan, completed residency training at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY and completed fellowship training at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC.

Dr. Arshad always makes you feel safe and comfortable. He listens to you and is very supportive. He makes sure you understand the treatment plan and all questions are answered. He takes his time. I would highly recommend him and his team.

Dr. Arshad is amazing. He was professional yet friendly. He made us feel heard and understood. He was very supportive and answered all of the questions about my children's care. He makes an effort with my children to make them comfortable and made me very confident about their care.

Dr. Arshad is focused on his patients needs and making sure the patient is doing well without any issues. He always includes the family unit as well and makes sure the parents are doing well and understand the patients care plan.

Dr Arshad remembered several details about my life although I haven't seen him in a year. And he noticed I could no longer talk with clarity so he asked if it was ok for my mom to continue the visit
