About Me
Dr. Ansari is an internal medicine doctor in Bourbonnais who cares for adults and older adults, with a long-standing focus on whole-person care and medical education.
I grew up in India, where my father practiced medicine and cared for people in a small village. Watching him serve others shaped my own path into medicine. I chose internal medicine because it lets me care for the whole person, not just one body system. One mentor told me, "You need to take care of the whole patient," and that advice still guides me. I earned my medical degree from Gandhi Medical College Osmania University, completed an internship at Gandhi Memorial Hospital Hyderabad and completed residency training at St. Joseph Hospital & Health Care Center. I am also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. My work includes adult medicine, care for older adults and helping patients manage ongoing health needs over time. I value teaching residents because it keeps my own care current and helps patients benefit from careful, informed decisions.
