When our furry, four-legged “employees” are spotted in the halls of Riverside, it instantly brightens the day. Our volunteer-led Animal Ambassadors Program, a fan-favorite among staff and patients alike, organizes therapy dogs to help raise spirits and relieve the stress and anxiety of recovering from illness or injury.

The program recently graduated five new pups—including that of a familiar Foundation face, Nicole Burgess, as her dog Lola is ready to begin making her rounds! If you’re interested in volunteering with your dog, contact the Director of Volunteer Services, Kristin Anderson, at kanderson2@RHC.net for more information.

Animal Ambassadors is just one of the initiatives designed to uplift members of our Riverside family in their moments of greatest need, sustained by the generosity of our kind, caring philanthropic community.
