Riverside Healthcare Hosts Annual Art4Heart Student Art Show Celebrating Creativity and Cardiovascular Wellness
March 3, 2026
Riverside Healthcare recently hosted its 14th annual Art4Heart student art show, a community event that blends artistic expression with heart health awareness. This year’s exhibit featured 56 juried works selected from 128 submissions representing eight area high schools.
Students from the following schools participated in this year’s Art4Heart exhibition:
• Bishop McNamara High School
• Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School
• Central High School
• Dwight Township High School
• Herscher High School
• Kankakee High School
• Momence High School
• Reed-Custer High School
Centered around the theme, “Exploring the Journey to a Healthy Heart through the Artist’s Eye,” Art4Heart invited students to creatively interpret heart health, prevention, and the emotional and physical dimensions of cardiovascular wellness. The result was a compelling collection of artwork that reflected both technical talent and thoughtful insight into the importance of caring for the heart.

“We are continually inspired by the creativity and perspective these students bring to Art4Heart,” said Matthew McBurnie, Riverside Vice President of Public Relations and Communications. “This event not only celebrates young artists in our community, but also reinforces the importance of heart health awareness in a unique and powerful way.”
The exhibit was curated by local artist Christina Loraine, who worked with a jury panel to select the 56 pieces displayed in this year’s show. This year’s juror, Mysi Carroll, selected the top three award recipients from among the displayed works.
Awards were presented to the top student artists:
• Grand Prize: Lilli Balk, Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School
• First Runner-up: Laura Moore, Bishop McNamara High School
• Second Runner-up: Anastasia, Reed-Custer High School
Art4Heart reflects Riverside Healthcare’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and preventive heart health education. By encouraging students to explore cardiovascular wellness through art, Riverside continues to spark meaningful conversations that extend well beyond the gallery walls.
