Dr. Chandan is an internal medicine doctor in Kankakee who cares for adults, with a long-standing focus on prevention, evidence-based care and medical education.

Dr. Naresh Chandan completed his Doctor of Osteopathy at Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA. Dr. Chandan has been involved with Riverside Healthcare for many years in several capacities. He previously served as the director of medical education and the founding director of the internal medicine residency program at Riverside Medical Center since 2009. He currently serves as associate program director of the Riverside Residency Program for Resident Clinic. Dr. Chandan is now seeing patients in Kankakee, Illinois.

He was very nice, concerned, and took the time to explain the importance of the reasons for tests and other procedures. He was very interested in all issues. He made me feel comfortable and easy to talk to. Very interested in our problems and history.

It honestly felt like Dr Chanden was not listening to me. He was also upset as there had been labs requested via the MyChart, but I had not seen or understood what those were so when I asked him to clarify, it felt like he got mad at me for not knowing. It has honestly made me consider switching to a different provider closer to home

O have never been so angry at a dr on my life! The intern came in and he was so through and kind. Then dr chandan came in and and before he even said hello, he started having an absolute fit! He was so mad that a previous dr had prescribed me a certain medication that was all he would talk about. I had several other pressing issues that I needed assistance with. But he would not discuss anything with me. He told me what 8 was going to do and when I questioned him about the other issues he got madder. By the end of rather visit he told me to go see another doctor. And I said I agree! I have never been talked to like rhat by any dr in my life! And I am not the one who wrote me the predictions in the first place. One of the main reasons I went to the dr today was to try and get my depression and anxiety under control. It is twice as bad now than when I went in to the office.
