Riverside Medical Center partners with Trauma Survivors Network
May 8, 2025To provide comprehensive treatment and support for trauma patients, Riverside Medical Center has partnered with Trauma Survivors Network. This network aims to connect survivors, enhance skills, and build a supportive community. Riverside Medical Center, a Level II Trauma hospital, is Illinois's first and only hospital to offer this partnership.
Established by the American Trauma Society, the Trauma Survivors Network focuses on connecting, educating, and empowering trauma survivors and their families, offering resources and advocacy for improved recovery. Through its partnership with Riverside Medical Center, TSN will serve as a resource to patients recovering from a traumatic medical event.
“Riverside Medical Center is proud to be the first hospital in Illinois to partner with Trauma Survivors Network,” said Christine Langellier, Director of Emergency Services at Riverside Healthcare. “Through this partnership, we look forward to connecting patients and the community to other survivors and invaluable resources.”
By accessing traumasurvivorsnetwork.org/trauma-centers-314/, patients will receive information and resources about Riverside Healthcare and the communities it serves. In addition to community resources, the TSN website offers peer visitation, support groups, and family classes — both in-person and virtually. Another virtual option is NextSteps, a program based on the principles of self-management.
