Dr. April Szafran is Now Seeing Patients in Kankakee

KANKAKEE, IL (November 1, 2018) - Riverside Healthcare is pleased to welcome Urologist, April Szafran, MD, PhD, to the community. Dr. Szafran is now seeing patients at 375 N. Wall Street, Suite P630 in Kankakee, IL.

Dr. Szafran graduated with her Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. She then completed her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. Dr. Szafran continued with an Internship in General Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, IL, a Residency in Urology at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY and a Fellowship in Sexual Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.

In addition to her education, Dr. Szafran is a member of the American Urologic Association, the Society of Women in Urology and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. She is board eligible in Urology.




Dr. Szafran specializes in treating both urologic conditions in men and women with sub-specialty training in male sexual health and reconstruction. To schedule an appointment, please call (815) 937-2122.
