Temporary road closure near Riverside facilities

Starting Thursday, May 21, a portion of Route 45/52 in Bourbonnais between Burns Road and St. George Road will be closed. This may affect access from the south to Riverside’s Bourbonnais Plaza, the Riverside Cancer Treatment Center and the Riverside Health Fitness Center.

How to reach our facilities from the south

  1. Turn left onto Burns Road.
  2. Turn right onto Career Center Road.
  3. Turn right back onto Route 45/52 and drive south.
  4. Enter at the Fitness Center or the Cancer Institute entrances.

Please allow extra travel time for appointments. We appreciate your patience during construction.

Timeline and scope of work

The closure and detour are expected to last approximately three weeks, until around June 11. Work crews are installing a culvert under the roadway to improve drainage.

Access to Bourbonnais Senior Life Communities will not be impacted. Burns Road remains open.
