Cold Weather Safety Tips
- Dress in layers and cover exposed skin with a hat, gloves, and scarf.
- Limit time outdoors and take breaks inside if you must be outside in extreme cold.
- Check on neighbors, especially older adults and anyone without reliable heat.
- Bring pets indoors when temperatures drop dangerously low.
- Know the warning signs of frostbite and hypothermia. If someone shows signs of severe cold exposure, call 911 immediately.
