About Me
Dr. Maceren is a family medicine doctor in Wilmington who cares for children and adults, with a focus on long-term relationships and family health.
I chose medicine because I wanted a career where I could build relationships with patients and walk with them through their health journey. Family medicine lets me care for both children and adults, and I especially value seeing families grow over time. "I want to be the advocate of someone’s health." That means I explain risks, benefits and options so patients can make informed decisions about their care. I earned my medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas and completed residency training through Rush-Copley Family Medicine Residency. I have practiced medicine since 2006. My work includes family medicine, pediatrics, adult care and helping patients manage health decisions across different stages of life. I try to make each visit a conversation, not a lecture, so patients feel prepared for the next step. I also value the trust that grows when families return through different seasons of life.
