Phillip M. Kambic, President and CEO of Riverside Healthcare

Phillip M. Kambic, MBA, LHD, FACHE

President and CEO, Riverside Healthcare

Phillip Kambic began serving as Riverside Healthcare's President and CEO in December 2005. Mr. Kambic has held various leadership roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Riverside since 1985. Mr. Kambic received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and in 2025 was bestowed the Doctor of Humane Letters (LHD) from Governors State University. Under Mr. Kambic's leadership, Riverside Medical Center has earned Magnet designation and multiple redesignations, received multiple IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospital Awards and 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital Awards; and started several Residency and Fellowship training programs at the hospital. Riverside has expanded its physical presence and geographic footprint, with sites of service in four counties and has more than tripled its net asset size. Mr. Kambic has a strong history of service on community and professional boards. He previously chaired the boards for the Illinois Health and Hospital Association (IHA), the Kankakee County Economic Development Association and the Kankakee Area YMCA; he continues to serve on the IHA board and on the Illinois Provider Trust board among others. Kambic is long-serving Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dawn Willbarger was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2026. Ms. Willbarger began her career at Riverside in 1992 and has served in progressively responsible roles throughout the organization, including Director of Patient Access, Director of Revenue Cycle, and most recently Vice President of Riverside Medical Group. Ms. Willbarger received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Governors State University and her Master of Business Administration from Olivet Nazarene University. She is very active in volunteering for local organizations, including her service on the Board of Directors and Compliance Committee for Uplifted Care.

Ellen Bollino, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Riverside Healthcare

Ellen Bollino, RN, MSN, CEN

Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer

Ellen Bollino was appointed to her current position in 2025. Ms. Bollino brings 23 years of nursing experience to her role, including previous positions as Director of Nursing and Director of Emergency Services at several Chicago-area medical centers. She rejoined Riverside in her current role after previously serving the organization for 15 years. In her current position, Ms. Bollino oversees Inpatient Nursing, the Family Birthing Center, and Clinical Resource Management. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and her Associate of Nursing degree from Kankakee Community College. Ms. Bollino is a member of the Illinois Nursing Foundation American Nurses Association Bylaws Committee and holds certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).

Vice President of Public Relations and Communication

Matt McBurnie was appointed to his current position in 2015 after beginning his career at Riverside in 2007 as the Executive Director of the Foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Olivet Nazarene University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago. Mr. McBurnie is a board member of Municipal Trust and Savings Bank, and the Kankakee Riverfront Society and previously served on the board for Olivet Nazarene University and GatheringPoint Church of the Nazarene. Mr. McBurnie is very active in the community, including previously serving as chairman of the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce. He was the first to be chosen as Kankakee County's "Young Citizen of the Year." Mr. McBurnie is a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning and an American College of Healthcare Executives member.

Stonewall McCuiston, MD, was appointed to his current position in December 2022. Dr. McCuiston received his medical degree from the Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Dr. McCuiston is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He serves as the Riverside Medical Center Medical Director of Resource and Care Management. Professional memberships include the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Association of Physician Leadership and the American College of Physician Advisors. Along with serving on numerous professional committees and community boards, Dr. McCuiston earned Riverside's Golden Stethoscope Award in 2011, the Garden of Prayer Community Award and the Riverside Samaritan of the Year Award in 2018.

Benjamin McLain, Vice President of Riverside Medical Group

Vice President of Riverside Medical Group

Benjamin McLain joined Riverside's executive team in 2025 bringing more than 20 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience across various healthcare settings, including for-profit and not-for-profit, physician owned and hospital based health systems. Prior to joining the Riverside team Mr. McLain served several years as Vice President of Operations at a large for-profit multi-specialty physician owned practice. In his current role at Riverside he will provide oversight of the Riverside Medical Group including primary care, medical specialties and all surgical specialties across the organization. Mr. McLain holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Athletic Training and Biology, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Olivet Nazarene University. He has demonstrated expertise in strategic growth, financial stewardship, and service line development throughout his career.

Stacey Ries, Vice President and General Counsel at Riverside Healthcare

Vice President and General Counsel

As a seasoned healthcare attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience, Stacey Ries has responsibility for and oversight of corporate integrity, risk management, contract management, and general in-house legal and policy matters. She began her career as a nurse and continues to hold her Illinois nursing license. She also holds a Healthcare Compliance certification through the Health Care Compliance Association. Ms. Ries was elected to the Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees and is currently serving her first six-year term. Ms. Ries graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received her law degree and Certificate in Health Law from DePaul University College of Law.

Rebecca (Becky) Schiltz was appointed in her current position in 2018. Ms. Schiltz began her career at Riverside in 1994 as a staff Physical Therapist and has since held various clinical and leadership roles at Riverside. Currently, she oversees Senior Life Communities, Behavioral Medicine, Rehabilitation Services, and Home Health Care. Ms. Schiltz earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Marquette University, her Master of Health Science degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis, and her Master in Business Administration degree from DePaul University, graduating with distinction. She is a Licensed Physical Therapist and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Illinois. Ms. Schiltz is an active community member and volunteers for various local organizations. She is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Illinois Physical Therapy Association, and a member of the Kankakee Community College Physical Therapist Assistant Advisory Committee.

Richard Schiltz, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Riverside Healthcare

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Richard Schiltz was appointed Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in May 2026. He joined Riverside in 2007 as Internal Auditor and has since held expanding leadership positions within the organization. Most recently, he served as Director of Finance for 15 years, where he played a key role in advancing Riverside's financial strategy and operational performance. Mr. Schiltz brings extensive expertise across all areas of healthcare finance, including reimbursement, budgeting, and revenue cycle management. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois and maintains active memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He is a U.S. Navy veteran. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Schiltz is an engaged community leader, contributing his time to various local organizations, including serving as Treasurer of the Kankakee Valley Symphony's Youth Orchestra. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Olivet Nazarene University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Xavier University.

Justin Bruno, Associate Vice President of Operations

Associate Vice President of Operations

Justin Bruno was named Associate Vice President of Operations in 2026. In this role, he provides executive oversight for Interventional Suites, RMC Cardiology, Materials Management, Perioperative Services, and Strategic Decision Support. Mr. Bruno began his career at Riverside in 2020 and has held several key leadership roles, most recently as Chief of Staff. Mr. Bruno holds a Master of Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is actively engaged in the community and serves on the board of United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties. He lives locally with his wife and daughter.

Keith Olenik, MA, RHIA, CHP, was appointed Assistant Vice President of Revenue Cycle in 2025. Keith brings over 30 years of extensive revenue cycle, project management and leadership experience to this position. In addition to his wealth of healthcare revenue cycle experience, Keith holds a Master of Arts in Health Services Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Kansas.

Kristi Panozzo, Associate Vice President at Riverside Healthcare

Associate Vice President

Kristi Panozzo was appointed to her current position in 2026. Mrs. Panozzo has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and more than 15 years with Riverside across various settings. Throughout her career, she has served as an ICU nurse, nurse educator, Manager over Population Health and Quality, healthcare auditor with DNV, and most recently Director of Operations for the Medical Group. She obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Kankakee Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Executive Nursing Leadership from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Kristi is a board member for the Kankakee Area YMCA, a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), certified in Lean Six Sigma, and holds a certification in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP).
