Riverside Healthcare is proud to announce that it has been awarded a 2026 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America (MHA). This is the fifth consecutive year that Riverside has received this recognition.Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health

The Bell Seal is the nation’s preeminent certification, recognizing employers committed to creating mentally healthy workplaces.

Gaining status as a Bell Seal recipient demonstrates Riverside Healthcare’s ongoing commitment to employee mental health and well-being.

“Achieving the highest Workplace Mental Health certification from Mental Health America for the fifth straight year underscores Riverside’s sustained commitment to employee well-being,” said Phil Kambic, Riverside Healthcare President and CEO. “The Well in Mind program plays a key role in supporting our staff’s mental health and their ability to care for our community.”

Well in Mind, Riverside's employee assistance program, is a free and confidential support service provided by Riverside Healthcare to its employees and their household members. The program focuses on support, prevention, and a mindful mental health and well-being approach.

Employee assistance programs like Well in Mind are especially important in health care as doctors, nurses, and staff members face emotionally challenging daily situations.

“We know the demands of healthcare can be significant, and our counselors are here to help employees navigate those challenges,” said Kristin Bell, therapist and Well in Mind Employee Assistance Program Coordinator. “We’re committed to providing Riverside employees with compassionate support whenever they need it.”

Riverside Healthcare is committed to providing the best for its employees and looks forward to continuing work to ensure they uphold the standards the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health set forth.

MHA is the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health, well-being, and illness prevention for all. MHA has spent decades researching mental health in the workplace and introduced the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health in 2019 to recognize organizations that value and implement policies and practices that support employee mental health and well-being.

The Bell Seal recognizes employer advances in workplace mental health by awarding Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum recognition. Only two in five employers meet the standards for Bell Seal certification. Riverside Healthcare underwent a rigorous evaluation of its policies and practices in four areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness programs.
