Riverside Healthcare - Iroquois Mental Health Center

KANKAKEE, IL (October 25, 2018) - Riverside Healthcare and the Iroquois Mental Health Center (IMHC) have announced Riverside will be turning over ownership of its Resolve Center in Manteno to IMHC, a Watseka-based provider of mental health and substance abuse services with facilities in Iroquois, Kankakee, Vermillion and Will counties.

“This is about finding the best way to serve those with addiction issues,” said Riverside Healthcare President and CEO Phil Kambic. “We realize that sometimes our role is to find trusted partners that we can work with to ensure the services that are most needed are available, and we are working with Iroquois Mental Health Center to do just that.”

Riverside’s Resolve Center provides residential and outpatient treatment services for adolescents (ages 12 to 18) and outpatient services to adults with alcohol and other substance abuse issues. The transition to IMHC should be completed by the end of the year.

“We are excited at the opportunity to expand the care we can provide,” said IMHC Executive Director Dr. Dennis Hopkins. “Our mission is to help individuals deal effectively with the difficulties that may arise in their lives. This will allow us to bring that care to even more people and we welcome that chance.”

Incorporated in 1971, IMHC provides a complete array of mental health services. Along with the main facility in Watseka, additional clinics are located in Hoopeston, Onarga, Clifton, Cissna Park, Sheldon, Loda, Milford, Manhattan and Monee. Services include outpatient therapy for adults, adolescents, and children and substance abuse outpatient therapy for adults and teens.

“We have complete faith in Dennis (Dr. Hopkins) and his staff to assess the community and make sure the programs that are most needed are provided and individuals get the help they need. That will, in turn, make for a stronger, healthier community.”
