The Samaritan Society recognizes and celebrates the generosity of our philanthropic partners who give annual gifts totaling $150 or more. The spirit of philanthropy has been at the heart of Riverside since its founding. Since 1959 when a handful of residents began collecting pledges to build this new hospital, gifts of all sizes have fueled the hospital's forward march toward innovative new therapies, excellence in patient care, and training the next generation of outstanding healthcare professionals.

As a Samaritan Society member, you belong to a distinguished family of donors - generous, compassionate friends of Riverside who want to have a significant impact on healthcare in our community.   • Sustainers and above are invited to our annual recognition dinner and receive a 20% discount in the Marketplace gift shop.

The most common way of becoming a Samaritan Society Member is through a tax-deductible cash contribution. Many payment options are available, including monthly, quarterly or semiannual contributions via cash, check, credit card or monthly deduction. You may also enjoy a tax benefit by contributing common stock, bonds, real estate, life insurance, or personal property with a marketable value.

Your gift may be dedicated to the memory of a loved one or as a tribute to an individual for a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or recovery from an illness. Established in 1968, the Riverside Healthcare Foundation builds philanthropic support for Riverside Healthcare. We articulate Riverside's mission, goals, accomplishments and needs for the future of healthcare in our region, and create pathways for new and existing partners to engage in them. We seek to build a vigorous community-wide culture of philanthropy and to find new, imaginative ways to be generous as an organization, believing that the example of generosity for one engenders generosity for all. Through gifts from our patients, physicians, employees, members of the community, corporations and foundations, we help ensure that the most technologically advanced, kindest, highest quality, readily accessible healthcare is available to residents in our region.
